Established in 1961, Rothienorman Bowling Club is a thriving community sports club located in rural Aberdeenshire
We are an unincorporated association governed by a Constitution and our affairs are managed by an annually elected Management Committee
Our club is non profit making and the the whole of our income is utilised in pursuing the Club's objectives and meeting the club's running costs
Mission Statement
To provide a long term future for the social wellbeing and integration of the community and surrounding districts of Rothienorman through the provision of financially sustainable facilities for the promotion and encouragement of the sport of bowling and other sporting, social and recreational activities
We achieve this by:
- Having an active Management Committee
- Making continuous efforts to improve and maintain our clubhouse and facilities
- Encouraging our members to participate in our regular Monday hat and Wednesday league events
- Competing in local and national bowling association events and taking part in other club's open and invitation competitions
- Holding regular social events and fundraisers throughout the year
- Making our facilities available to local social, sporting and business organisations and to other social recreational groups and for private parties
Activities
We have a wide range of bowling and social activities going on throughout the year to which all members, guests, visitors and supporters are always assured of a warm and friendly welcome

Opening Times
Green opening - The formal opening and throw of the first jack will be on Sunday 21st April 2024 at 2.00pm
Hat nights - every Monday night at 7.00pm from 22nd April 2024 (6.45pm from 5th August, 6.30pm from 26th August)
Tuesday league - 1.30pm every Tuesday from 11th June 2024
Green closing - 1.00pm on Sunday 15th September 2024
The use of the green for practice, casual bowling and club competitions is available at any time, throughout the season (subject to green maintenance requirements and other events)
Membership
Membership, currently 27, is open to anyone irrespective of age, gender, race or colour
Non members are welcome to participate in our Monday hat nights and Tuesday league but are not allowed to compete in club competitions nor can they be selected as a player in any Association or Bowls Scotland competition
Subscription fees, charges and other information is available on our MEMBERSHIP page where you can also download an application form
Hire
Our facilities are available for hire to local sports and recreational groups, business organisations and for private parties
